Reclaimed logs
Our woodturning shop in Baltimore often becomes the repository for local fallen trees. The choice ones become turned bowls, others find their way to the firewood pile. A white pine tree with a 12" diameter became the inspiration for this project. I cut the tree into blanks, mounted each one on my Oliver lathe, drilled a center hole and then over the past few months, turned each of them into a new shape.
